I don’t think there is anything better in the summertime than a cold margarita after a long, hot day. The tangy, sour, refreshing flavor is just something you can’t replicate with any other drink. Plus, a margarita is the PERFECT base drink to make into a million different combinations. Check out my spicy margarita recipe here!
For this week’s happy hour cocktail series installment, I wanted to make a twist on the classic lime margarita by adding dragonfruit. Check out the how to video over on my Instagram. This eye-catching fruit comes in two varieties-pink and white. I use the pink version for the actual margarita (mostly for the striking pink color) and the white variety to garnish.
You will have to make the dragonfruit juice a little ahead of time, but it doesn’t take long (maybe 10 minutes). This is a fun and colorful summer drink that adds a big punch of color and flavor. I love dragonfruit because the taste isn’t overwhelming and melds nicely with whatever it is put in. Let me know if you try this recipe and what you think!
