This weekend is the official start to summer, so of course we had to break out the splash pad, throw on our swim suits, pull out the straw hats, and splash into the holiday weekend. This is Aaron’s second time in the water, and he is still VERY apprehensive about it. He loves warm water (the bath), but colder water is very confusing to him. We had to take it very slowly with him and get him used to the water being in his face a little, but once he warmed up to it (pun intended), he LOVED it.
You can see the highlights over on my Instagram where I posted a reel with all the best moments.
I got a new swimsuit for this year since my ones from before baby just aren’t the same so I found this BEAUTIFUL floral piece from J. Crew. If you are in the market for cute, flattering, and comfortable swimwear, J. Crew is the best.
Little man’s suit and rash guard is from Target and is linked here.
The standout item was our splash pad from Minnidip. I knew Aaron wouldn’t quite be ready for a full kiddie pool yet so this splash pad is a perfect middle ground where he can get used to the water but not worry his mama too much. They have several options for colors and I couldn’t recommend them more. If you are looking for some Memorial Day Weekend food inspiration to go along with your pool day, check out my post here. I hope you all have a lovely Memorial Day Weekend!
