My front porch got a much needed makeover this week! I wanted to spruce up our curb appeal a bit now that summer is right around the corner. I love the black and white mat combo, but it just felt too dark for the warmer months.
I don’t have a large front porch so I knew I had to be economical with space. This end table from Target is actually perfect for the space since it adds height to the corner and gave me a place to put another flower pot to make a triage (best shape for design). I wanted larger flower pots to fill out the space so this 10 inch and 12 inch ones from Target were perfect. Plus they are ceramic so they won’t blow away in the wind.
The rug combo was the hardest to decide on, but I wanted to tie in the gray of the flower pot so I went with a gray buffalo check under mat and found a cute French inspired topper at Target. I love how the buffalo check adds just a bit of texture to the whole space.
The wreath was fun to find! I love how large it is so it fills out the space well. The lemons tie in with some of the yellow in the flowers to make everything look cohesive.
I found the pink flowers at Home Depot, and when I saw them, that was the final piece I was looking for. I had wanted to do pots full of different kinds of flowers, but when I saw the matching pink sets, I knew this would be a more unified look.
All in all, I am so happy with how this quick afternoon project turned out. It adds so much color to our doorstep and makes me happy every time I get home.
