Just because the holidays are over doesn’t mean you have to be done entertaining. I love having guests over in the cold of winter for a warm, comforting meal. With each meal, I always keep in mind my beverage selection. If you are going to serve alcohol with a meal, a polite host will always have a variety of non-alcoholic options for their guests who do not wish to drink alcohol.
It can be sad as a guest, though, to only have ice water during cocktail hour when everyone else has a fancy drink in their hands. That’s why I like to have a mocktail option (non-alcoholic) for my guests. They are a fun spin on cocktails, but are suitable for those wishing not to imbibe.
A cocktail traditionally has at least three ingredients to be considered a cocktail (otherwise its just a well drink), so for my mocktails, I try to incorporate at least three elements into each drink. It makes the flavors unique and doesn’t just feel like you’re service juice over ice.
Below are three winter themed mocktail recipes for your next gathering that guests are sure to love.
The Refined Reindeer
4 oz cranberry juice cocktail
2 oz tonic water
1 oz Cranberry Orange Sparkling Water
Garnish: Cranberry Skewer + Rosemary
Mix all ingredients together in a tumbler filled with ice. Serve with garnish.

3 oz Tonic Water
1 oz Orange Sparkling Water
